A completely new Lokimaps icon
- The new icon brings together a route, contour lines and water in one unmistakable mark. Look for it on your Home Screen the next time you open Lokimaps.
More control over your screen
- You can now allow the screen to turn off while using the map, useful when you want to conserve battery and do not need the display to remain awake.

Route planning, measuring and smoother map tools
Ruler is now Route Planner, new Measure Tool, and map tools feel faster and clearer.
New in this update
- Ruler is now Route Planner. Plan routes directly on the map with waypoints, edit them later, save them to bookmarks, and continue editing saved routes whenever you need.
- With Lokimaps PRO, Route Planner can create walking, cycling, and car routes between waypoints.
- New Measure Tool: touch and hold the map with two fingers to see distance and angle between points. Supports degrees, NATO mils (6400) and Finnish piiru (6000).
- Added a setting to allow or disable 3D map view.
- Offline downloads are now available without PRO for supported maps.
- Liquid Glass support has been improved for map widgets and toolbars.
- Map pins and route details now open faster and feel more responsive.
- Oma riista areas now have a status widget that shows at a glance whether you are inside or outside the area.
- Oma riista area visuals are clearer, making it easier to see whether you are within the area.
- Several route planning, map overlay, and settings issues have been fixed.

A new name for the same outdoor navigation app, with clearer map choices and one PRO subscription for extra maps and layers.

Multi-map mode and map layer improvements
Show Nordic topo maps together, get more detail in Sweden, and use Finnish property borders as a separate layer.

- Multi-map mode: show several maps at the same time. This is especially useful in Nordic border regions, where Finland, Sweden, and Norway topo maps can now be used together.
- The Sweden base map is more detailed, with two additional supported zoom levels.
- Finnish property borders are now a separate layer, so they can be used on top of any map instead of only the Finnish topo map.

Historic maps for Finland are now available in the app.
More than 30,000 historic maps from 1863-2020 can be shown on top of the current map. Pick a year, adjust opacity, and compare how the landscape has changed right on the map.

Maastokartta rebuilt
The familiar maps and tools are still here, with a clearer and faster experience on modern devices.
Maastokartta is back, this time properly rebuilt.
This update took a while, and we're sorry for the wait. The app has been rebuilt in large part: the familiar maps and tools are still here, but the experience is now clearer and faster on modern devices.
A few visible changes
- Offline map downloads now have their own screen, making progress easier to follow.
- Completely rebuilt GPX import and export.
- Track, navigation, and ruler distances now follow your unit settings.
- Search has been reworked with autocomplete and recent searches.
- The Details button for tracks now opens the correct detail view.
- New feature: location sharing between trip companions, protected with end-to-end encryption.
