Bookmarks keeps your saved map locations, planned routes, recorded tracks, imported GPX items, and folders together. The app calls a saved map location a bookmark.

Save a point from the mapSave a point from the map

  1. Move the map until the centre crosshair is over the location.
  2. Open Pointer and open the point details.
  3. Select Save as bookmark .
  4. Enter a name, choose a destination folder, and decide whether to show the bookmark on the map.
  5. Select Save.

You can also save a place directly from a Search result.

Find and organise itemsFind and organise items

  1. Open Bookmarks from the bottom toolbar.
  2. Use the search field to find a bookmark by name.
  3. Open the Actions menu and choose New folder to create a folder or subfolder.
  4. Select Edit to choose several items, then move or delete the selection.
  5. Use Sort By to order the current folder by name or creation date.

The visibility control beside an item changes whether that bookmark, route, track, or folder is shown on the map. Hiding an item does not delete it.

Open an item to see a map preview, available details, and the actions for its type:

  • A bookmark shows its coordinates, estimated elevation, and addition date. You can show it on the map, navigate to it, copy its coordinates, share it as GPX, rename or move it, choose a red, green, or blue marker, change visibility, or delete it.
  • A saved route shows its distance, enclosed area, and creation date. You can show it on the map, share it as GPX, rename or move it, change its line colour or width, change visibility, or delete it. Routes saved by Route Planner also offer Edit in Route Planner .
  • A recorded track shows distance, moving time, enclosed area, speed, time, and elevation statistics when available. It offers the same map, GPX, organisation, visibility, line-style, and deletion actions as a route.
  • A folder can be renamed, shown or hidden as a group, shared as one GPX file, or deleted. To move a folder, select Edit in its parent folder, select the folder, and choose Move. The visibility of an item inside a hidden folder is retained for when the folder is shown again.

Deleting an item is different from hiding it. Deleting a folder permanently deletes every nested folder, bookmark, route, and track inside it. Export anything you need first and check the confirmation message before removing saved data.
